I bought my first Zeiss Scope
Bought my first Zeiss scope, the Conquest MC 1.8x5.5x38. First off if it wasn't for the great price that I got I probably would have stuck with getting another Leupold VX2. I am putting this onto a Ruger Hawkeye in 35 Whelen. Let me just say that I am very surprised with the difference in optical clarity, consistantcy edge to edge and the brightness of the scope compared to the Leupold's are no contest the Zeiss wins hands down. The the windage and elevation adjustment system beats Leupold again. I am sure that it will be every bit as accurate as my Leupold's but quite honestly are these plus's worth the extra $ in the price tag. I was pricing out VX2'S, VX3'S and then checked out the Zeiss website and found a sale for the 1.8x5.5 and 4x32 for $299. That is what the VX2 3x9x40 is going for. The VX3 I found for $369 (last years models ) So I said what the heck and got the Zeiss, man I am happy I did.

Good choice and great price on a great scope. I like the good glass, 2FP orientation, etched reticle and constant (4") eye relief. A hands down winner. Congrats.
