You see what it sold for in 2007. Great scope, I just bought two of them. If I had the extra money laying around I would have bought three. But at least I got an extra one for the next rifle I buy.

Just thought I'd show you guys the deal

I'm not sure about the Weaver ownership now. Last year Meade bought them and I think they were coming from either Korea or the Philipines. That sounds like a high list price for that scope, but it may be alright for that sale price.

I bought one when they were $259 a month or so ago. I had ordered a 700 SPS Stainlees in 300wsm and put it on this. I had the local gun shop mount and boresight it when the gun came in and the guy about had a heart attack when I told him what I paid for it. He got online and ordered one right then for his 338WM. He said even with his discount at the store he couldn't get anything that nice for a price close to that. The Classic Extreme's where made in Japan so they are well worth the money for this price. While I was in the store we compared it to a couple of Leupold's and a Bushnell 6500 and it looked better than all the Leupold's(priced as high as $900) and it was very comparable to the Bushnell.

I'm sure it's a decent offering. I, however, don't like SF on deer hunting scopes, prefer a 40-42 mm as the largest, don't need a 30mm tube and the only illuminated ones I've basically liked are (non-battery powered) Trijicons. Therefore, I'll pass on those. Good info tho.

No thanks. I'd rather spend a little more on a quality scope that will last a while.
