I used them in the 60"s and as I look back they never let me down even in the western states. They were slim trim and didn"t clutter a rifle. I might just be rembering wrong. But I'm thinking I would like to have another for a win. 100. Are the new ones as good as the old ones ? or where can I get an old one.

weaver k series scopes are still available and probably the best scope sold for the money.

I have a few of the new model weavers, although they are decent quality (very good for the price), I still mourn the loss of the old el paso steel tube scopes. Those old steel tubes with "microtrac" (last models of el paso)were bombproof.
