I'm trying to decide on which one! Looked at both of them at Cabelas and sort of liked the 3200 over the VX1. Which of these 2 is the better scope? Zeak

I would take the 3200 without a doubt.

zeak, i just put a VX-1 on my new remington sps varmit rifle. its a 4x12x40 and is clear as i expected from leupold. i looked at the bushnell too but decided to go with the leupold. leupold reputation is what sold me. i think either one will do what you want it to do. good luck.

I agree it pays to compare prices. SWFA has a number of the 3200 Elite scopes listed and you also get a coupon for a very nice jacket valued at $125 or so.

For the eye relief I would go with the Leupold, for the lenses the 3200. The 3200 in my opinion is the all around better scope. Like I said the only reason I would go with the VX1 is the eye relief. That being said I have VXII's and Vari X II's on most of my hunting rifles primarily due to the longer eye relief.

I had the 3200 3x9x40 on my muzzleloader shooting 150gr of pyrodex with no eye relief issues.Friends have the same scope on 7mmremmaga and a 338win mag with no eye relief issues.
