Lower end spotting scope advice needed
#21
I guess we can agree to disagree on the FOV.
I compared them to them all.
The fact is reguarless of70x and up, at 25 power it leaves alot to be desired at 89ft.
It will be very very noticeable (well to me anyway)
Condidering the majority run at 100 - 115ft at the same
25 xpower setting. And if you take into acounta 60 power
most end up in the 50-55ft range.
I didn't reflect the price pointof any of them just statting the mirrors have an inherently narrower Fov.
Heres a list of some scopes used in hunting.
I'm not saying they are great just saying they are popular.
A list, Bushnell Elite$359.00(eagle optics)15-45x60FOV 125-65 at 25x 105 ft.approx
Vortex Nomad$339.00(eagle optics)20-60x60 FOV
114-51 at 25 approx 106ft.
Bushnell Legend$249.00 (eagle optics) 20-60x60 Fov
138-68 at 25 approx129ft
Burris Landmark $189.00 (eagle optics) 15-45x60 Fov 146 -72 at 25xapprox 115ft.
Brunton Eterna $499 (eagle optics) 20-45x62 Fov
105-70ft at approx 25x 95ft.
Leupold Sequoia $239.00 (eagle optics)15-45-60Fov
131-63 at approx 25x 97ft
Nikon Prostaff$399.00(eagle optics) 16x48x65 Fov
126 -62 at approx 25x 105ft.
Yep there is alot more out there and there is some that do have narrower than I have listed that are popular spotters, but field of view is something that should be taken
seriously and its something that I personally would factor in when purchasing a model.
Reguardless though, I'm still interested looking through this this model because I am intersested in mirrored optical performance.

Burris makes a good spotter for around a 100 bucks on e-bay.By no means is it a Zeiss or Swaovski but it will do the job your looking for.
Its called the Burriss High Country.
Good luck
