Default Question re: Nikon 2x7 Shotgun Scope

I just got the Nikon 2x7 Prostaff shotgun scope and mounted it on a combination shotgun (12 ga/.222) but I can't seem to understand something. When I sight the rifle in at 50 yds dead-on it is off high right at 100yds, when I then sight it in at 100yds the 50 yd group is off to the left usually 2" or so. Is this a problem with a shotgun scope that I should expect? Help needed!

Is the rifle barrel on top or bottom? Does hit point of aim with the sights?

Cage,
The rifle barrel is on the bottom. The unusual thing is that I took a 3x9 off the gun in favor of the smaller lower magnification scope. The 3x9 shot great.

I'm no expert, but it seems like the scope may be mounted out of level.

I have that same scope mounted on an 870. Absolutly love it.

Fellas,
I had a 3x9 Leupold on the gun and decided to go with the smaller Nikon and move that scope to another gun. The 3x9 shot excellent. I am befuddled.
