RE: Pistol scope
I had a Leupold 2x on my Ruger Super Redhawk 44mg. for a while. Then went to a Millet Red Dot scope and was much happier. It had the 3moa dot. which covers 3" at 100yds. Gives you the ability to get on target fast due to now power invold. I have used this red dot scope on ground squirrels on a Ruger Side Slab 22lr. and have taken squirrels at 80yds.

RE: Pistol scope
I would recommend starting out with a 2x to get used to holding it correctly so that you can find your target quickly. After that bump up to a 4x or a variable power, Leupold or Nikon would be my choice of optics. Once you get comfortable at shooting long distances it's a good 150yd gun w/ an 8 1/2 or 10 1/2 bbl. factory rings are good but a good base is a "T'SOB" made by JD Jones of SSK industries in Ohio. I would recommend Mag-na-Porting as well. Good Luck
