I finally got out to the range yesterday with my new Zeiss Conquest.
WOW, what I've been missing! It almost seems like I've been shooting in a fog bank 'til now.
Whereas I sometimes had trouble finding the holes in the target with my VXII, there were no such problems with the Zeiss. Even with my hack-job on the scope mounting, it's a real winner.
Plus, shooting my rifle is much nicer since the 'smith took the trigger down from 6# 13 oz. down to 3 lbs.!
Bring on the bulls!

I, like a lot of people, went through the lower end scopes. A couple of years ago I bit the bullet and bought a Diavari and the difference is hard to believe.

Upgrading scopes is one of my favorite things to do, and you don't have to hit the lottery to do it. I am almost 100% Zeiss and Swarovski optics, and for me, it has been a matter of shopping for the right "deal". From ebay to message board classifieds, there is almost always a deal to be found if you are looking. Good luck and have fun!
