I have a older 3 x 9 Redfield scope that the cross hairs started floating on. The scope is still very clear and worked really good until the crosshairs started moving on it. I found a place that said thery will fix it for a flat rate of $65. I was wondering if anybody ever had a scope repaired like that. For the price it would be better than spending $300 - $400 for a new scope if the repair is done right.

Who is this repair facility that will do the work for $65? I have two vintgage Redfields that need to be cleaned and resealed. One is a 2 3/4X Widefield and one is a 6X-18X. Thanks.

You might want to call them and confirm I have the address written down right. They seem to be an authorized repair facility from what I was told when I talked to them on the phone.

Some redfield scopes have lifetime warranties. I think Meade (blount) owns redifeld now but you should check to see if they will fix it for free. I had an older bushnell banner (made in japan) that malfuntioned. Since the parts were not available, bushnell replaced it with a new one. It is a much better scope and all I paid was shipping to get me old one back to them
