Default Classification of recurve bow

Is it required that a recurve be shot with a stabilizer in Recurve Unaided? Is it legal to shoot off the arrow shelf in Recurve Unaided?
In Traditional class, does a "normal" (slightly more than 1/8" in total height) piece of "carpet" on the arrow shelf qualify as "leather or similar material" and is it permitted?
