I received my 2005 year book and would like to make sure that everyone is aware of the Article by J.R. ABSHER "Bowhunting's Battles are far from over". The subtitle THE THREAT GROWS, is of special interest.
Today I was at the largest sporting goods store in this area and in the archery range I noticed a box for contributions for the SPCA. Upon checking the gun counter and the fishing counter had the contribution boxes with money in them waiting for more more.
If you read the article you will understand what is happening. I asked them if they were aware of what the SPCA was up to this year and asked if they thought the boxes would help their business if The Hunane Society of the United States and the Fund for Animals are able to carry their out their agenda. If the SPCA has any different agenda than the one mentioned I think that it should be stated clearly for all persons being asked for donations.
Pass the word. If every person reading this tells one or two people and ask them to do the same it may help conteract what is coming.
Read the Article in the yearbook and get the word out. If we do nothing than that is what we will have to hunt in years to come, NOTHING.

FF is correct.
It now appears that the animal rights fanatics are going to soon become much more aggressive.
We have had a couple phone conferences and meetings with the US Sportsmens Alliance, and the Pope and Young Club among others to begin the formulation of strategies to deal with this growing threat.
It is painfully obvious that we are going to come to all of you seeking support. For the past twenty years we have done what we could with what could be generated by shoots and voluntary donations. It's quickly going to get serious.
It is our heritage and our future that will be at stake and no one is going to do the fighting for us.

We have made sure that here in Idaho we have a representative going to the pope and young meeting that is coming up to see what is going on and make sure that we are well represented.
