What happened to Senior HC

I have been busy hunting since September but back then there was big talk of a Senior HC that I thought was great. I see there is a money HC now. Things were looking really for the Senior HC and a bunch of my shooting buddies were going to start going to IBO events again if this class was added. Doesn't hardly seem fair that a guy 58 has to shoot against a 21 year old just because he wants to shoot his hunting equipment instead of scopes and long stabilizer's.

Draw29, It seems like a dead horse. Every time I ask for input from the higher authorities it's put back on us. I guess a petition would do, but I don't have the "expenses" to fund that. The majority in a poll on two forums were in support of this class. Why can't some our dues go to a survey put out to all members with all the ideas about classes, by-laws,etc. listed. I asked about the petition that was supposed to have been submitted for the change in HC to a money class, but never recieved an answer. It seems to me that a class charging more money to shoot thus making the IBO more money got through. A senior HC would also have to be determined if it in fact would be a money class or not. I think it would benifit the IBO more if it weren't. There would be no pay out other than a trophy or modest award, thus all the money would go directly to the IBO parties at will LOL. Just my humble thoughts! Don't take anything in this post personal.

OK guys, Please e-mail Ken Watkins at [email protected] and give him your support for this class!! He needs all the correspondence he can get for the spring meeting. It must pass by the board, he can only submit it. Round up all the members you can and get their IBO numbers and names and e-mail them in IN FAVOR of a senior hunter class>
Thanks, rcher
PS:- My appologies extended to Ken for any wrong statements above and looking forward to a great 3-D experience this year.

rcher,
Good post. That is what we need more of is suggestions on problem solving and less of the comments from people that make themselves look stupid to people that can't even see them or their profile.
I favor a senior program and My IBO # is 57687 which entitles me to a vote.

Standing around the parking lot complaining to each other will never solve a problem or answer a question.
Many, many ,many times I have read here and heard about a situation that was INTERPRETED or improperly relayed or not true at all become an instant legend based entirely upon bad information. We have absolutely the finest system possible for rumors. Almost all not true.
Ask or seek the right info before passing it on or believing all that you hear.
You want a quote? I'll be glad to give you one. So will eb! Just because someone said I said it or the IBO said it does not make it so.
rcher asked!

rcher,
Here is list of people that I ask the question if they would like to see a senior Hunter Class and they responded favorably.
Charles & Tammy lWildenstein IBO #57661
Stephan Worden
Mike Sheahan #69416
Mike Sheahan Jr.
DEnnis Sheahan 60312
Charles Rothfuss
Robert Stansfield #20855
David Glover
This was a one day survey of people that I know and shoot with. If everyone on the net that is interested can do a little bit of the same it will be the start of what may be needed to make some changes. Ken does not wear blinders so lets give him something to look at and present to the board.

I was also surprised when this class wasn't adopted for the coming year. I have been shooting serious comp. sine 1997 but alot of the guys I bow hunt with would, I think, have given this a try. I am 55 and most of these people are also in their 50's. This class would give them a place to shoot with the equip. they already own against people of their own age. Trying to be competitive against the young guys is tough !!
