Default IBO & Rhineharts?

A friend of mine just came back from Gainesville and said the buzz was that IBO was in negotiations with Rhineharts? Truth or rumour?

God, I hope not!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> otherwise they'll have to be called the ASBO! LOL.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> McKensie, the one, the only. Like a Ferrari, there really is no substitute.

Next thing will be going to low 12's! (Stop it, you're killing me! <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>) Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Yes you can buy rinehart's with center x's. They were advertising it last year at all the ibo shoots.

If I'm not mistaken, the IBO is under contract with McKenzie for 2002 and 2003. After that, who knows...
Personally, I would like to see the McKenzie's stay around. Just my opinion.

Have you ever picked up a Rinheart target and had the ears break off, the head and body do not match, or shot out afer very few tournaments.

I'll cast my vote for Rineharts.

I have picked up several Rinehardts, and they are extremely heavy. Our clubs' experience with them is that they shoot up a lot faster than the McKenzies. I sure hope IBO sticks with McKenzie. That's one of the reasons I've started shooting some of the IBO shoots.

The IBO is in the second year of a three year contract to have McKenzie Targets as the official target at the major events.
Next summer all target companies will be sent an invitation to bid the target use for a period after that.

I have seen the controversy that the Rineharts created in the ASA orginization when they changed over to them. Both targets have their pro and cons. Since IBO started the Southern Triple Crown several clubs in our area now shoot some McKenzies along with the Rineharts. All in all, it will become a wide open discussion as to which is better but in the end I feel that I prefer the McKenzies and hope that IBO doesn't consider changing a good thing. Just my thoughts.
