8.5X Binoculars, Legal or Not
I've heard elsewhere that 8.5 power binos are legal. Just wanting to find out an "official" answere before traveling 1,500 miles to find out that I have to leave a pair of $1,400 binos in the car.

if you do a forum search, there are several topics on just this subject, i think the unofficial official rule is, anything in the 8X range, meaning the 8.5X bino should be legal.
