Bow Pro, this was a question that came up at our local shoot today, is the Target Master sight legal in IBO shoots and if so what class? It does have a range finding feature to it and that is what brought about the question?

Iam not familiar with the sight.
If in fact it measures something for the purpose of establishing the distance it would not be legal.
But, whether it actually does this I do not know.
Anyone familiar with this sight?

hey highbow, is this sight anything like a sightmaster? like bowpro said, if it has rangefinding capabilities, i would say the sight is not legal for ibo events, and probably not a fair deal for even club shoots.
i think if i had a rangefinder on the ranges i would scare myself to death. i usually judge yardage within 10 or 15 yards on a good day....

Ken & Keith, You might find something on line about it, I have only looked at it while at www.huntersfriend.com and the owner was the one who ask about it being legal or not, I'm quite sure it has something like a ranging feature on the side that when adjusted has marking to indicate yardage.
