I just got back from Rome also and I must agree with clearcut. The shoot and the food and accomodations were all excellent. I think that I might need to go to yardage school after this weekends attempt at shooting. I will be working hard on that aspect of my shooting for the next three weeks before Pensacola. I am sure that it will be just as good as the first two legs of the Southern Triple Crown have been. Can't say enough just how many nice and helpful people my wife and I have met at the first two IBO events for us. The Prime Rib Buffet at the Holiday Inn was great too! See all of you in Pensacola..

I heard they had to call out the fire department to put the fire out on a couple adjustable sights. Coulda been a rumor, maybe.
Glad ya'll enjoyed it.
Now then, what could we do that would change what you see in P-Cola?

Remember, the only sure thing is that there is no sure thing.
I had one lady tell me she had Dan figured out. He sets them all short-short- long.
Slight tactical error. If we look at them and there are tendencies, we change some!
Bring your brain and have fun.
See ya'll in P-Cola.

Hey Bow Pro, I think that I have heard that old saying before. Just when you get lifes questions answered, they change the questions.(LOL). I have shot both legs of the Southern Triple Crown and Dan has kept me guesssing now for 80 targets and counting......You guys keep putting them out there and I will try and keep hitting them. I have a perfect record so far on your courses, I have came back with the same number of arrows that I started with both times....See you in Pensacola.

i usually look at the targets pretty close when yardage guestomating, and you usually see a trend of all high, all low, or all center arrow patterns. you know a target is set extremely well when the arrow holes are strung from the knee joint to the spine......we saw that on several targets in rome. i really like that. there were some shorter targets that you really needed to get, because the longer ones were going to get you if you werent careful.

ken is right about the sights going up and down. again, that really makes it tough. most sight changes were larger than 5 yards, and some as many as 36. very nice. the turkeys are a whole different critter all together. i doesnt matter if they are 13 yards or 49 yards. they are just plain mean. if live turkeys had teeth and a little attitude you would never kill one....lol i consider an 8 as even on a turkey. anything better is a bonus. i had a wonderful time, and i think ken is in for a little pat on the back for the weather so far, and we all know its kens fault when the sky darkens over an ibo event....lol

I think a real good measure of the hidden difficulty of the Rome courses was the high number of 11s shot vs the low scores. Yeah some guys shot up but others made the mistakes. Take myself for example. 17- 11's and shot 16 down for the weekend. I had three 5's and a gaggle of eights (including the bedded buck across the lake, from the back stake I shot it for 49 and cuaght the bottom of the eight line. Most beautiful 8 in the world!).

The only complaint I heard and it might be good to look at this in the future... Seniors were complaining about having to climb the hills on G range and even a little on F.

well bartman, its kinda like this, I am not a paid shooter, so till they foot all the bills, then i shoot where and when i want and can, they understand my busy schedule at work, and its hard to shoot all asa events and IBO, I shoot all the local events and either asa, or ibo, however i do plan on shooting asa classic, as i will shoot qualifier to get there, as it is in columbus, ga which is a 90 trip for me.
they know i do a great job promoting there products and talk to as many folks as i can and help out where ever needed.I am moving up to mbo in pensacola, as i got my new bow set up, and it will makes its debut there, its a one of a kind ar34 wont tell the color, of it on here but you will not see another one like it anywhere. but it will stand out. hey bartman, i hope i answered to your reply . thanks for the concern tho, happy shooting, JUST ANOTHER WALKING BILLBOARD!
