BOWTECH,
We have some rough terrain in this area of Pa. It does make for really good practice for worlds though. I have shot every year at Snoe Shoe, WV. You can expect to have a lot of downhill shots, dark to light (on ski-slopes)shots, and some up hill shooting. Also, low light cond. is the norm..
Any practice on rocks, unlevel ground, and low lighting will really help. Quality footware is a must have. (shoes with good ankle support)
GOOD LUCK!!

I am in the same boat with you, this is my first time trying to shoot in the IBo and I am a little nervous myself. I have had so many good and welcome comments from people already that I am looking forward to the southern triple crown and if I do okay in that, trying to shoot the National Triple Crown as well. Good luck to you and say a little prayer for me as I am going to need all of thehelp I can get as well! I have got to get used to that 11 ring instead of a 12 ring like we shoot for here in Alabama(LOL). I will have to shoot 2 great shots to make up for one bad one now! It should be a lot of fun though and I can hardly wait for Wetumpka, Alabama in just a few days.

The best advice anyone can give is to practice and shoot every shot as if it's for all the marbles. The 3rd leg in Nelsonville has the terrain that will be as close as you can get without being at the world, hills, vallys, dark to light, light to dark, and good footwear wouldn't hurt either. What class are you going to shoot?
KEEP EM IN THE X-RING

Center Punch,
Thanks for the advice, I'll be shooting HC to start. We shoot in similar terrain here in PA at our shoots and have been shooting this terrain for awhile. Hopefully it will help at WV.

Bowtech, welcome to the world of twisted ankles! the first year i shot snowshoe, I seen two people leave on strechers! If your used to hilly ground, you'll do just fine. One thing I have trouble in WV. is the footing at the steaks, they are really good at making you off balance. Usually I will practice at home standing on a rock, or brick or anything to make me get used of odd footing. Anything abnormal, will help for WV..
HAVE FUN, we'll see grass and sunshine soon!!!

Hey all you Pa. guys, I saw something yesterday but it looked more like mud than grass ! Our 1st outdoor shoot of the year is this coming weekend and I am hoping that they don't cancel due to icy conditions. Last year the 1st 5 of the year were all cancelled because of the snow and ice. Lots of hills here in north-central Pa. Nobody wants anyone falling and getting hurt or breaking their equip.
