O.K. IBO members, our state's FHFH chapter needs our support. Any amount of money goes a long way to feed the needy. Thanks
The FHFH program here in Maryland has become so successful that it seems they may have to stop taking deer by early next week unlesss another 70,000 can be raised. The program has just about exhuasted all the funds it receives from license fees due to the huge increase in donated deer.
FHFH has been saluted by the Governor for their excellent work in helping feed the less fortunate in Maryland. All donations are tax deductible.
Every little bit helps. For the cost of a box of hevi-shot you can help feed a family with venison. During the holiday season, please give if you can. If you can give, please let me know. I am keeping a list of people and groups that have contributed during this emergency drive.
Contributions may be sent to Maryland FHFH, 216 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740. More information about FHFH can be found at the organization?s website www.fhfh.org or by calling 301-739-3000.
You can go to FHFH.org to make a donation.

Wow! Talk about a good news / bad news report. It is great to see this program doing that well. Obviously word is getting out well in Maryland about the program. For anyone who doesn't know about it, this is a IBO sponsored charity who dedicates their efforts towards processing donated venison and distributing it to local food pantries. Every effort is made to minimise costs, but processing still needs to be paid for. As Tom pointed out all donations are tax deductable. If however, that is not enough, FHFH has arranged through other sponsor organizations gifts which can be yours instead of the deduction, based on the amount of your contribution. I strongly encourage everyone to visit their website, take a good look at the program, and contribute in any way possible. The amount of good done, not only for the hungry (which is huge), but also for the hunting community is tremendous. This program opens doors to hunting opportunities, like nothing else can. There is contact information for local chapters if you would like to get involved.
