3-D with Fred Bear Family Bow?
What are your thoughts on my recent purchase of a Fred Bear family bow $79 and a 3-D deer target for $49 from Wally World for my 8 and 5 year old boys. My 8 year old has a PSE Bandit but he just can' t pull it back nice and smooth quite yet. I figured they could build up there confidence with this bow. We went to the National Hunting and Fishing Days in Stonewall Jackson, WV this year and they shot the Mathews Genesis and loved it. It retails for around $150. They offered to sell me one for $100 but I didn' t have the casholla at the time. Anyway, I feel this bow should fill the bill for a few years.
Should I put a peep and sights on it and have them use a release to get use to a hunting setup or just leave it and let them shoot instinctively which I think may benefit them and keep it simple.....Thanks all

BOSS, I BEGAN WITH A BEAR CUB OVER 20 YEARS AGO, AND SHOT IT INSTINCTIVELY (I DIDNT REALIZE THERE WERE SIGHTS AT THE TIME, AND DAD DIDNT BOW HUNT SO HE DIDNT KNOW EITHER). I THINK THAT, AND IM NO EXPERT OR ANYTHING, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LET THEM LEARN THE FORM AND FUNCTION BY SHOOTING INSTINCTIVELY FIRST. BESIDES, IF YOU PUT A PEEP ON IT THEY BOTH MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT IT IF THEY HOLD THE BOW DIFFERENTLY OR THEIR FACIAL FEATURES DONT LINE UP TO EACH OTHERS. ALSO, IT WILL PROBABLY TEACH THEM THEY NEED TO WORK HARDER AT FIRST IN ORDER TO GET IT TO HIT WHERE THEY WANT IT.
