The post " ibo trying to lose more members" was locked by our fearless leader Bowpro. So this forum is no longer to discuss any issue that goes against BowPro' s opinion. That' s perfect, so now it is his organization and not ours. Read the home page of the IBO it states: created in 1984 by a dedicated group (not one) with the mutual desire to ensure that bowhunting and the ideals of wildlife conservation will survive, expand (not limit) and flourish to be shared, enjoyed and passed on to future generations.The Charters states to encourage and foster the sport of bowhunting (not one organization), further bowhunter education(not ibo approved classes only) and so on. I know Bowpro will delete this before to many people have the chance to read it because I have not agreed with the all mighty Bowpro. But maybe some people will read and realize what kind of ego we are dealing with at the head of OUR organization. There is absolutley no reason why ibo members on this web can not exchange information about shoots, shooter classes, hunting tips, equipment knowledge or any thing else in the realm of bowhunting.

It is quite evident that a healer of the attitude people have is not your speciality.
Judging from the number of post that you have your opinions to date have been withheld or not worth making them public knowlege. You are both entitled to your opinion and the rite to express it. If someone is upset about an issue it is much better that they express it on the forum where it belongs than making it public knowledge reflecting on the whole organization. Telling a person to leave the organization does nothing for you or the organization except tell persons that do not post but read the threads that good will and sportsmanship must not be part of out creed. bill i agree somewhat, but maybe ken could have used a different avenue. i think ken does what he feels is best for the ibo and its shooters.

the idea that ken single handedly is trying to destroy the ibo is crazy. i know how much work goes into putting on a club shoot, and cannot imagine the amount of hoops and bull caca that ken goes thru just putting on the triple crown. the world shoot was a bad deal, but a safe deal....no injuries.....

i too think that the forum members should be able to post what they think and feel, good or bad. this is a great tool for education between ourselves, but i think some of the things posted on here get out of line. if i were ken i dont think i would reply to some posts either.......they just dont warrant a response. some topics are great, and of great benifit to all.

there will always be bashing, questioning of management, doubt, because everyone wants a fair shake. if they feel a little slighted, they lash out. it think ken realizes this, as do i. there are always folks just like me who happen to agree with ken on most things, as others fail to agree. that is the choice they make.

as my father always said, " boy you have two choices, get over it or die mad. both choices are yours, now move on" i try to do this, and guess what, it works....

i guess in all of this rambleing i am trying to say that i think ken is looking out for us, if we will let him........i really dont believe that when his feet hit the floor in the morning there is a bunch of chest beating, grunting, dreweling and screaming I AM THE GREAT LEADER OF THE IBO, i think he just does the chest beating and grunting during deer season.

your right the front page does say promote bowhunting but I don' t see where it say' s to promote shooting schools. The IBO has a school if you want that you go to this web page if you want NFAA you go to their web page. Ken does not do just as he pleases this is not a one man operation he answers to the board and when he does something we do not like we will be the first to tell him right now he hasn' t done that

ej: He has done something we don' t like read the post that was locked out about shooter schools. I did not write it I simply have taken up the cause. I doubt if Bowpro ask the board if he could delete a post that promotes archery education. If the members of the ibo want to discuss archery coaching, archery lessons, archery schools then we should be able to dispite what one man thinks. The post about other shooter schools was not vulgar, or in bad taste or anything of that nature. Just because the IBO acknowledges Tim Stricklands school and support it does not mean we can not talk about other programs. Pretty soon the IBO might get PEPSI to sponsor events, then will I be told that I can' t tell anybody I like the new Cherry Coke and were you can buy one. One of our charters for the IBO (home page) is to promote bowhunting education, not Tim Stricklands education only. It seems all so petty by the IBO, specificaly the person who believed it out of line and deleted the first to postings and then locked the third. Look at it as simple as you can, You are being told you can not discuss bowhunter education classes and your options in your area on YOUR web sight. And remember that YOUR web is supposed to promote that very thing you are being told you can not discuss with out permission by the all mighty.

I would not disagree with you at all if this was about a bowhunter ed class but it is not we both know that. What is being taught from both is geard to the target shooter and yes some of it does carry over. I would also hope and would be upset myself if the post had been comparing coaching styles and everybody giving their opinion as to who was better at what they were doing and what they got out of it was deleted. Bottom line it was over a school that the IBO does not support and does not advertise your not going to go into a ford dealer and find dodge advertised. There have been a number of times people have come on here and compared orginizations and tournaments and even the negative comments about the world shoot none of which have been deleted because this is where you do that, but this is about a school not put on by the IBO or supported by the IBO because we have our own instructor and that is the one we will promote and advertise, but feel free to go to both schools and come back and let us know which you liked the best or got the most out of.

I REALLY DID NOT LIKE THE WAY KEN JUST WALKED OFF AT THE BRIEFING, IF HE WOULD HAVE JUST ANSWERED A FEW MORE QUESTIONS, A LOT MORE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN PUT SOMEWHAT AT EASE.
