Twice within the past week I did a post about a shooter' s school that we are having for bowhunters and 3d shooters in the Upstate New York area!!!!! Twice it has been deleted!!!!! I just now got a response from an e-mail I had sent regarding why it has been disappearing! Apparently, the IBO is also sponsoring a shooter' s school taught by Tim Strickland. I do not see where this should effect the ability to post our school for our area! I see a lot of shoots listed on here too, so what' s the big deal??? There are a lot of bull.... posts and bitching on this forum! I am getting really sick and tired of this whole IBO situation!
What' s the concensus of the rest of the IBO members on this?

Jhunter: I agree with you completely, the shooter schools that the ibo is pushing are few and far between and expensive. There should be no reason not to let you put the word out about your school. They let clubs post local shoot information and the ibo sponsor shoots as well as shooter schools.

It would be interesting to know who deleted this information. It seems that we have some spokesman on here for the IBO who think that promotion of the IBO is the only thing that promotes archery. I believe on the Opening page it is stated what the purpose of the IBO is and if this does not qualify for those purposes well I guess that there are many other things on here that does not qualify.

I deleted the posts.
It was explained to jhunter in an e-mail the reasons. I explained there was a conflict of interest in advertising functions of another organization on the IBO website.
I also explained that philosophical differences exist between the program that Coach Strickland has and the one they are presenting. The IBO Board has chosen to support the program from Coach Strickland. We have been doing so for over a year.
The correct place to advertise an NFAA shooters school would be on the NFAA web site.
