I' m just another archer who participated at Snowshoe last week, I live in the real world just like everyone else. I too was disappointed at not being able to finish shooting all the targets. I do feel that the right call was made to suspend shooting because of the lightning. It' s not worth the risk to anyone! I have my own opinions, that mirror some I' ve seen posted. I would like to have seen some representation by Snowshoe with Ken when he made the announcements - they had some responsibility too.
Communication with a group this size is key. While I' m sure this isn' t the end all answer, what about some type of grapevine, from Ken & the BOD to state reps to designated volunteers? Most people are more than willing to help if allowed to.
I' ve been watching the posts this week, people are angry and hurt - all the way around the circle. I' m glad to see the amount of input, it' s too bad it takes a situation like this to spur it.
I' ll leave with one more comment - in 5, 10 or 20 years, will we be able to look back and say we ALL were able to admit we' re human, and build from here OR will we miss this opportunity all together?
