My husband and I both shot and completed the IBO Bedford shoot. How soon does the IBO send out letters to those that are selected to shoot at Snowshoe?
We wanted to find out as soon as possible if we are invited to shoot at Snowshoe so we will be able to confirm room acomidations there.
Thanks.

I don' t mean to speak for anyone, but the hosting club seems to have the most effect on the speed at which the invitations are received. My club held its first ever qualifier. I sent the score sheets to the IBO within two days of the event. The IBO sent the invitations 10 days later, including mail time. The day I received the invitations they were mailed to the recipient: total time was two weeks from the shoot to the delivery of the invitations.
I know individuals who attended a qualifier on april 27 who have yet to receive their invitations, though they know they qualified.
So, I can say from my experience that whatever delay you are experiencing, it is likely with the host, not the IBO itself - they are quite efficient.

Depending on where you placed in your class will determine whether or not you qualified for Worlds. If you did not and fear that you may not qualify at a sanctioned shoot (the 3 legs) try qualifying at a local IBO qualifier. You can access this as well on the IBO website.
If you do plan on going I would make accomdations before you qualify if you really want to go. M friends tried to book a room at the Snowshoe Resort and they are all booked.
Hope this was of help. Good luck and see you in McKean!

Make the reservations anyhow. If you do not qualify, you can shoot the troprhy class or just hang out. Great place for a vacation, even if you don' t shoot. Check out Cass Scenic Railroad, too.

Thanks for all the info folks
I did already make reservations at the Mountain Lodge and as of yesterday they still had rooms available there and at the Spruce Lodge. Im sorry to say that I took 25th in my class but the hubby faired much better shooting the senior class for the first time
I hope he qualified we would love to go since we havent been since back when they held it at Flatwoods WV. Jim D sorry I missed you but we had to go to the target auction to buy some targets for our club on Sat evening and had another previous commitment.
Jim D did you have a black and tan long hair Dashund with you?

Lady Forge,
Good luck with your archery! This was my first time at Bedford also. Even if you wouldn' t place in the top 20 to qualify, you can still go to Worlds. You can shoot in the Trophy Round. It' s the same courses, but you get a Trophy if you place instead of money and you don' t have to qualify. Or you can go to another place to try for your qualifier. There are various qualifiers for Worlds all around and the IBO webpage has the list of all of them. Good Luck!
