I just dont think this Old School IBO will change...

In my area, The only reason people shoot a IBO is to thin the pencil pushers out and KNOW who is the best. And we have a lot a of No.2 pencil pusher who finish at the bottom of the list each year..
None of the people here travel to the big shoots,,well maybe one or two each year..

I do think if the IBO would put togethere a funner and more wider ban of shootin I would spend my money on them, but just to go to a shoot to shoot 40 arrows in two day[:@]That' s no fun. Like I have said,,There' s only one winner and the rest of us need to play and have fun to leave the house..
Sorry Ken, but the IBO is not growing here(in the midwest) and is really getting smaller. Look at the NFAA and what they do at the shoots and the ASA and all the side events at both, we travel to shoot,visit,and have FUN,not wait all day to shoot 20 arrows. Titles are dime a dozen now days and no way remenbers who won last week. So build a funner event and promote it..You have the power and the backin..but if it ain' t broke, dont fix it???just like your state reps,,some of whom don' t even shoot anymore and dont care what the IBO does,but talk good on the phone when need to.
I' m the Hood and I pay to play and have fun. The die hard winners will be just like me in a few years and want just a play and have fun. better start thinking about us vets of turnament archery and start building some side events, hack, I would come to a shoot just to do the fun events and see all the new stuff in tent city...

BartMan, A year off??or just a year at the bottom on the list??all the same:D

I have no clue what this thread is all about, but I can say from my experience the NFAA can' t hold a candle to the IBO in regard to how the organization treats it charters.

look....first of all....this thread aint here to bash the ibo, the asa, the nfaa or any other org........we are all about fun...and ive had fun at every shoot ive ever been too...and so has everyone who has ever shot in my group....so if you aint having fun.....pack your iron and head on out...cause this is now the official stop of the duo....fun city usa......

well...looks like ill be shooting the OPEN CLASS....wide open for me....i mean...look...i really should just move on up to the pro class...after all...you aim at all the 11' s...and if i happen(not likely) to make a marginal shot...i still get a 10.....now come on...this dont hardly seem fair now does it......

keep watching them chevys there jim......the ones that count are right there in the hunt.....but the drive for 5 is alive...and he will start his move soon enough.....

got me a plane and car all reserved for indiana.....cause you know why.....INDIANA WANTS ME......AND I DONT KNOW WHEN YALL WILL BE BACK AGAIN....thats after the beating and whippin yall take from the duo.....

Well Hood, I am not sure exactly how to answer your posts. At first a few smart responses came to mind , then I thought it was obvious that you had not been there (by your comments) and perhaps I should explain a bit to you.
There is a couple vendors there.
One or two things to do besides shoot your 40 arrows.
A couple people hang around lookin for someone to talk to.
But with all due respect to the efforts and the events of the Midwest Triple Crown, it is not quite the same competition as at the National' s.
If you don' t think that title means something to someone that has won it, try and get that buckle from them. This one is the one that tries mens souls. Each event has a seperate type of terrain and the experience of the range architechs is to create a shoot that takes advantage of the challenges presented by each. A shooter does not shoot from the road. They are going to take you to the shots. They progress in difficulty and stress.
If you are up for it we will be there, if not we understand.;)
