Does anyone know the closest camp ground to the Worlds Shoot in August? I went the website and called the state park number and that lady said they were about 45 mins from where the shoot is... although she also said she doesn't know of any shoot.
Looking for a campground for a tent, not an RV or cabin.
Thank you.

Thanks for the response Judy. That is the place I went and called the number for the state park camping that was listed. They were the ones that said they were 45 mins. from Ellicotville.
Is that accurate, or is there other camping sites that are closer the shoot itself?

Red House - which is the closest site- has swimming, canoe and paddle boat rentals, fishing, etc.
Quaker which is on the furthest side of the park from Holiday Valley has swimming and boating/fishing though no rental boats.

I live very close to Ellicottville - it is a very beautiful area and quaint town with B&Bs, etc. There is a small town of Salamanca that has a few motels and Olean which also have a few moderate priced hotels which are the same distance as the campgrond in Allegany State Park. there is also a small town called Springville just north which has lodging also. Hope this helps - let me know if I can help you in any way. Note: There is a casino in Salamanca with a large hotel also but it pretty pricy. I would book early
