Ken or anyone,
Under the new scoring system this year, when two shooters tie with their total score(after they've counted all their x's as 11 points)will the shooter with the most x's place ahead of the other? Thanks

Hoyt Shooter,
Good Question. I would think that since x's now count for score, ties will simply proceed to a shoot off. But it is possible to consider x's seperately to still break ties. I don't think this will be the case because you would in effect be getting double credit for the x's, but?????????? Ken and all are in Texas right now, but I'll be interested to see responce when they get back.

I would assume so.....that is how they scored us in our state shoot here in WV. We were the guinea pigs for the new scoring, our state shoot was the very 1st one under the new scoring system. If that is not how it was supposed to be some people might be upset here in WV. Hope that is the way it is.

With the advent of the 11 scoring there is NOT an additional tie breaker. It will proceed to a shoot-off.
FUN, just the two of us shootin it off in front of a few close friends.
No pressure at all.

Ken,
I'm assuming you mean ties will go to a shootoff if you make the cut at worlds or finish in the top 20 at the tripple crowns. But what about the shooters finishing further back. How will their order of finish be decided if they tie?

shootoffs only will happen for first place I would guess, further back out of the money, won't matter, further back in the money I would assume they will add the prize money for the places in question adn divide by the number of people, so three people tie for second, add 2nd,3rd,4th money, divide by 3, each get that amount, next guy down is 5th place.

At the Winter Nationals we had more than one shoot off. The only one that I remember what it was for was for 9th place in MBO. So there will be a shoot off for all money places, no ties for 4th, 5th etc.
