I would like to comment on the 1st leg of WV crown. All of the fliers put out was stated $25.00.It has always been $25.00 since I have been shooting,You get there and now it is $30.00.What a profit HAC made .What was a guy to do drive 2-3hrs and go home .I understand $5 bucks is $5 bucks. So already upset about the unexplainable price increase you would think that new targets and centers would be on the course, well if you call plugged targets new with different 10 and 11 ringsand SOME new targets centers I guess that would call for the price increase. Does this mean the other 2 shoots will also be $30.00?. Last year HAC didn't even help with the cost of the buckles are they this year?I will say that they did have a good shoot, target placement was different from years past ,mixed up the yardage, but there was NO water on the course.I for one would vote to move it next year to some place else.Boone's and Lumberport do alot better job.

goldenarm, i would like to thank you for coming to the shoot this year, sorry for your confusion. i spoke with one of the other clubs in January and was ask if we would object to raising the fee to 30.00. i was told both the other clubs wanted to do so. so after discussing the price increase at a board meeting Huntington archery agreed to charge to 30.00. there was no flyer from Huntington archery that said 25.00. lumberport's flyer said 25.00 but that must have been an oversight on Harold's part. he said it would be changed. as for profit, we charged 30.00 entry fee pd ibo 5.00, put in 7.00 per shooter for cash payout, 5.00 per shooter for the overall awards and 5.00 for our share of the belt buckles. that's 22.00 we paid out. that leaves the club with 8.00 for profit. try to run a club on less profit. last year we sent the agreed 5.00 per shooter to cover the overall awards and the buckles were donated, so you must be misinformed where the buckles came from. there was water on the coarse about half way between target 1 and 20 on the first coarse and the second coarse had only 10 targets which started at the club and ended at the club where water was available. sorry you didn't like our range, but seems like someone is always unhappy. i don't like the 30.00 fee but that was agreed upon by all 3 ranges.i will not shoot because of it, but that is my choice. i will be at the other 2 shoots but wont shoot in the competition. i would like to say we received the most good comments on this years shoot than any before. good luck in the future. malcolm sowards

I just don't understand how the price could be changed and know one knew about it.We now know that the other two will be $5.00 more.On Sunday I must of walked by the water jugs,if they were there I do aplogize. As for the buckles last year it must of been a bad rumor.I also know that you can't please everyone .I for one said that it was a good shoot ,target placement was great you guys mixed it up it was better than years past.I still don't understand all of the repaired targets.I have yet to run across that any of the other shoots.

i hope i eased your mind some, after being ask in January we agreed to raise the fee to 30.00, i guess after being 25.00 for so long it must have slipped through. i appreciate you comments on the range set, with our terrain it sometimes gets set harder than planned. i have been learning every year on how to improve the set,i hopein the next few years we will we will keep making it better. any suggestions will always be listened to.we thought our patch jobs were quite well of we wouldn't have put them out. our patch repair man has lots of experience and except for the difference in the texture of the patch foam some looked as good as new. we had more new rineharts but decided to put out some of the good patched mckenzies. we thought that would be better than a range mostly of rineharts. s much as we like to shoot mckenzie targets they don't hold up. we get pass trough's on new centers after about a month on the club range. rineharts will last all year and from a cost standpoint we have to use them. i hope you will give us another chance and i promise the 3 clubs in the WV triple crown will be better prepared.good luck at the next leg. malcolm sowards

The flyer also said 10 bucks for youth 13and15 I believe it was. I paid 30 bucks for my son hes in the YMR 13-14. If all the rest of the Triple crowns are charging like this I may have shot my last one.
