Sheds Galore!!!!! from PA
 

I was talking to a friend of mine tonight. He told me he found 6 sheds yesterday in 30 minutes. He looked at the ground and saw 3 laying together. I sort of chuckled to myself I thought he probably bought them at a flea market or something. But when he showed me them my jaw dropped. I recognized them racks from deer pics from my game cams. I also new he was telling the truth because some of them were bucks we passed up. Only one was a matching set. So that means there were 4 different buck that dropped them. And all the buck were legal in PA. The neat thing is they were found on a property next to our QDM Co-op. I am so proud of the people involved on our little QDM Co-op it goes to show anything can be accomplished if you work together. By the way our little co-op is under 400 acres and we made a difference with that little bit. Hopefully that neighboring property will join in with us and if not oh well. If I ever figure out how to post pictures I will post them. [8D]I sure cant wait until archery![8D]

Sounds promising bullmoose.Can you explain the QDM you guys are practicing?What food plots or habitat improvement projects did you guys complete?And are you taking a certain percentage of the does out?

Did you see any MT. Lions or bigfoot on your trail cams. We harvest 85% of our 2.5 + buck in Pa. so how did all those bucks survive on only 400 acres? DIdn't those guys shoot any buck last year?

germain We have a lower limit of 8 points 16 inches or a 3.5 year old or older. Only shooting adult does no button bucks. We have a guy I went to school with he is 27 years old and never shot a buck. We told him he can shoot any legal buck. But he refused to he wants a buck with size! I thought that was amazing he wanted to do that. We have food plots everywhere. We use Imperial whitetail clover, Biologic and anything else we can get our hands on. We did little habitat improvement. But that is something we are working on for this upcoming season.

ddear Those bucks survived by hunters having the will power to leave them walk. I will admit there is some luck involved that those bucks didnt walk by a hunter who was willing to shoot. The matching set my buddy found was a 6 point. There were 4 of us who had a shot at him and left him go. We took a 7 point with a 21 inch spread and had 2 misses and 7 mature doe. But the land surrounding are area made out ok. There was an 8 point that scored 120, 9 point mid 130's, 9 point 17 5/8 spread, and an 8 point 22 inch. I will admit its tuff seeing some of the big boys we helped grow get shot on neighboring properties. But at the same time you must think maybe these people next year will leave the little guys go.

Nice work!! Now get someone in there to selectively harvest some timber!!

Can't wait for ddear to spit out some BS formula showing that there are no dear in your area and that people on your property are shooting everything with horns and legal. ;)

nice job would it be worth me doing this on my prop we have 200acers but have full hunting right and acesse to over 1500 acers i was thinking foodplats and minerallicks during the spring and summer what do yall think
? and what limits should we put out?

Start with the limits Bullmoose is using and then adjust it for the deer you are seeing over the coming years. Try to adjust it to let them live to 3.5 years or older. Your food and genetics will determine just what that becomes.
