Pleasant surprise
Well the weatherman said the winds were from the North at 8, when I got there this morning they were more like 18. I was going to turn around and go home knowing the deer would have already headed for cover and bedded down. But since I'm hunting a bedding area I thought I might have a chance. No such luck. But I was pleasantly surrprised when a bruin went ambling by heading for its bedding area. The Swamp

About 2 seasons ago I shared part of a hind leg of a deer that I shot at night with one. I had shot it at sundown and did not want to pursue it. I had that bear under my stand 2 weeks earlier. That bear was tagged, I didn't see a tag on the one today.
