You got it, PAJack. Maybe we should each eat two hoagies - we might need our strength on Monday for dragging. If you here a Wal-Mart Weatherby bark in the Ore Run valley, you'll know what's going on.

Hey Fellow Bear hunters....
Well Last year was my first year for hunting bear, and I ended up going to Linn Run In ligonier. I ended up helping a guy drag one out, I did see the bear and it was already hit.
I will be going out this year but I dont know where to go, I have had a buddy see some on chestnut ridge near Derry, and another buddy see sign in somerset County so I dont know....I have Vacation saved for the 22nd 23rd and 24th, so we will see...
Good luck to all

No doubt about it. I'll be in the Pike/Monroe county area. Beautiful country and some BIG bear.
Good Hunting...

Good luck guys!! For some reason, I have the feeling I'm going to get one this year. However, I had the feeling I was going to catch a lot of striped bass a couple of weekends ago and I caught squat.

hey bearklr, i'm gonna be right over the mtn from you. (to the west). We have a cabin between rt 44 and Hyner state park. Although our luck hasn't been as good as yours, we get our share of bruins. If memory serves me we have taken 6 in the past 8 years. Not too bad for a camp with a group of 4 regular bear hunters. I've taken 3 bears up there in the past 39 years. This year I will be using my T/C Contender in .35 Rem. Its light enough that I can now carry a thermos and a few more sandwiches and just enjoy the sun shining on the mtn. Even if I don't see a bear, it really don't matter, does it?
