New Jersey Black Bear Hunt permit application deadline to be extended to November 15, 2004
W. Scott Ellis, Chairman of the New Jersey Fish and Game Council announced today that the Council intends to increase the time available for sportsmen to apply for the upcoming New Jersey 2004 black bear hunt by extending the submission deadline for permit applications to November 15th. The previously announce deadline was September 30th. A formal vote on the deadline extension will be conducted at next Thursday’s regular October 7th Council meeting.
Mr. Ellis noted that “the shortness of the application period based on the September 30th deadline, which resulted from bureaucratic delays in the approval of the 2004 Game Code, was the primary factor in the Council’s deciding to extend the deadline”.
Sportsmen are reminded that black bear hunt applications are available from regular Division of Fish & Wildlife license agents, as well as from various web sites, and may be photocopied.

I'm all for the extension, but I do feel November 15th is cutting it close. How, and when will they have the seminars for those that need to take it agian, and for those like myself who already took the seminar last year, we were told my November 19th we would have our permits. This is turning into a complete cluster f**k
