Does anyone know if a non-resident can buy a long gun in New York State? If so what do they need as far a identification, etc........... I was going to make a trip to the new Gander Mt in Middletown, NY and if possible purchase a long gun.

yes you can you will need to have some kind of photo id and of course pass the nics check you would have to have all pistols shipped to a ffl in your home state.
