Default Transportation of Deer into NY State

I live in NY and also hunt PA with another. My friend said that he thought he read somewhere that this year NY has a new law that you are not allow to transport a deer carcass from another State into NY. If this is true, I could probably have my deer (if I'm lucky enough to get one) processed in PA before bringing it home. I looked on the NY DEC website and couldn't find anything about this. Does anyone on this forum know if there is any truth to this or can set the record straight? Much appreciated.
