I'm from Binghamton, just off the Pa. border. Heading to Moose River Rec area 1st week of Oct. to try calling Coyotes and maybe a bear. I'm seeing some real nice bucks this year. Maybe I'll break the 120 mark!

Lake George, NY. Coyote Tim, have you ever had a bear come into a call? I've tried it several times with no luck.

You guy's from Steuben are lucky. Last time I looked at The buck harvest #'s your up around 8 bucks per sq mile. They should call Steuben little Texas.;)

No, I have not. I've called lots of fox and coyote but only tried one other time for Bear. I did have something on its way in but I spooked it when I stood up to leave. It was fairly large and did not sound like a coyote. I know it will work but the wind has to be just right and oddly enough a bear has to be able to hear me. I guess it can be very exciting, they either sneak in or come in charging. I'm taking my .444 just in case they decide not to sneak!

Smart move, that .444 is a good choice for the hunting you'll be doing. Good luck and let us know how you do.
