It is good to see other members out there. for those who had a bad expierience with some members don't feel that they are the same views as all of the members out there. hope you all have a good hunting season (archery and gun)

This thread actually reminds me that I need to join UBP.
I was looking to join last fall/winter but then my son came a long and I put hunting in the back of my mind for the past 7 months.

The holier than thou attitude of the UBP seperates more archers than it brings together,as was said on this forum before they seem to be ANTI gun ,ANTI compound and they are ceartainly ANTI crossbow.
(my opinion only of course)

I'm from Pa. and hear very little from this group other than membership drives. What has the UBP done to support archery in Pa? Details please, not what may or could be done.

The single biggest thing UBP has done is lobbied successfully to extend early archery season into Novemeber. I realize that was a while ago but it was a direct result of grassroots efforts by UBP members. Almost every year the idea of taking it "back to the way it was" comes up. UBP has done a very good job of keeping that type of backward thinking nipped in the bud. All bowhunters should support the organization on that alone. It's not a perfect organization but there's a heluva lot more good done than bad.
Every organization has a few bad eggs. I personally have seen less of the elitist mentality lately than was there a few years ago.
