Can someone tell me what the PGC does with the food plots on the game lands? Do they let the corn stand, pick it, or just push it over? I am trying to figure out a strategy for archery season.

not sure about all of it but here they leave it standing....and stock ringnecks in it.....but after opening day of pheasant season they might as well run it over......i guess people just run through it.....ive walked through tons of corn and rarely knock one over....i dont see why they fields are just ruined......i wouldnt be bow hunting anywhere NEAR a foodplot after small game opens.....id think it would be a waste of time....them guys hunt the food plots then push all the birds out of it then hunt them in all the surrounding woods and brush areas.....dogs....groups of guys yelling back and forth.......just dont seem like deer hunting would be good.....and i wouldnt wanna be in a tree stand when a bird flys off the ground!! good luck

It seems around here they leave it standing.
FWIW, I've hunted SGL's with lots of foodplots and even plenty of stocked birds....after about the first week of pheasant season there's noone around and I have 8500 acre's to share with about 2 other bowhunters.
