My buddy just bought property there and we dont know much about the hunting in that area, didn't have a lot of time to research it, the property came on the market and dhad to make a move

I am originally from Doddridge County. Been gone since 1968 but I doubt things have changed much. Hunting should be good. Did he get enough land to hunt on or will he need to make friends. There is some public hunting in Tyler County and Conoway Lake is also there if you need a place to fish. Good luck with the new land.

He bought 40 acres of woods , mostly hardwoods , going to put up a camp already site is prepared and driveway in when he bought it.

You should probably find that there is alot of deer in Tyler Co. I came up and hunted my hometown in Ritchie Co (just below Tyler) last week with the bow. I'm sorry to say that quantity, not quality, is the rule of thumb in that area. Gun season takes it's toll on anything with bone. [:'(]
