Hello all, I was just wondering when I should start looking for shed antlers here in NE. Massachusetts? I know it's a bit early yet but figured I'd throw it out there. Also, any tips that some of you have for finding sheds would be helpful. I've found a few sheds in the past and quite a few full skeletons (usually ripped apart by the coyotes.) Take care, Scott.

If the snow is down, I would start in February. Look to find deer wintering areas and the sheds should be close. ALot of the best places to get sheds are non-huntable land, such as various MDC watershed properties and suburban woodlots.

definitely start in february/march. put in some leg time and you will find them. remember them spots b/c you might be able to find those bucks there in the late season next year. also, i tend to find sheds in the same area year after year. good luck. to see my shed collection, go to the site i have in my signature and click on sheds. peace!!
