I had a friend that always sayes he is going to use his bow during gun seasson and this guy is a hard core bow hunter. But he always changes his mind opening morning of gun season
. I could see using a bow if there was a deer that would make P&Y but not B&C and you had been hunting him hard and were very very close to conecting. But other wise you might be setting you self up for dissipointment.

Sure, they' re legal, and so are in-lines, flintlocks. The question is why would you?

Yeah sorry, I didn' t take into account where you' re hunting. Around here, once the guns start shooting, I never see a deer acting " normal" , just running, looking for escape.

Some people are just die hard bow hunters. My dad went up for bear season 2 years ago and only took a bow. Like it' s not tough enough already considering only 1 % of all bear hunters actually fill a tag. I guess they want to challenge themselves.

I hunt with my bow during gun season every year. My stand is in a small woodlot close to housing developments. The deer go there to get away from the pressure of the 65 trillion hunters that go out loaded for bear. I see more deer during gun season then I do during archery.
