A guy i know today said he heard that there is a new proposal going through the PGC aobut hunting on sunday . I would really like to see this go through , the extra few days per season would really help out alot. I personally would love to see it go through , how about neone else?

This all goes back to the blue laws,I guess you remember them.I' m a transit operator in the ABE area and have the privilege of working every Saturday. So Sudays would sure be a godsent to me. Your friend got it a little wrong. Three Bills have been introduced in the House so far this year since only the Legislature can change the law but a couple of Legislators that are against it have been successful in keeping all discussion to a minimum and the Bills are still all stuck in the G&F Committee. The only way that' s going to change is if hunters start contacting their own legislators and asking them to speak up for them. The more letters they get, the faster it will get changed.

I hope some day it happens. I' m going to type up an email and send it to the legislators. Hopefully I' ll get some sort of positive responses.

I would like it to happen also. I hear the major opposers to the idea are the farmers.

Who needs Sunday? From a proposal by Gary Alt I read about, next year you' ll be doe hunting from Sept to Feb, with unlimited tags, and maybe over a bait pile!

I doubt that PA will ever pass a Sun hunting bill. Jersey has tried but not succeeded. Heck, I cant even shop in my county on Sunday!

I read the article as well Mike though your quote was a little out of context. I think what Gary said was that if the proposal for a week of early rifle for doe during the Thanksgiving week does not reduce the doe population enough then more drastic measures like hunting for doe from September through February would be instituted. I gotta admit though that I would find it very hard to believe that they would ever pass something so aggressive.

I would be all for Sunday hunting though.
