RE: Any Downstate NY people here?
I wish you luck KUBOTA ... private land is worth it' s weight in gold in NY, at least land with good deer on it is. I hunt the Ithaca area, Schuyler County to be more precise and the Albany area. Seems more and more farmers want money to hunt their land instead of responsible people who respect it and leave it better than they found it.
I' m afraid I can' t give you my farms I have worked hard to find, but I can give you specific areas where the permission has been a little easier to get. Good luck.

Some of the downstate lumber companys lease land for hunting rights. My family has a lease through Cotton-Hanlon. They will allow small basic camps built on the leases also. Another company is Gutchess Lumber.
