I always get pumped for opening day of rifle season. The anticipation of what's to come! I'll be out in Berks county. No bear hunting for me.

Never been out for bear, but defininitly never miss whitetail opener. First archery season that I didn't go since I started archery hunting 13 years ago. So I am especially amped up for rifle to begin. Although forecasts have crap weather in store, it won't change the excitement any. I'll be in Berks also looking to punch some tags.

Indiana county here. Seeing a lot of sign around this year, should be a good opening week.

i went up north around marienville, did some scouting today. saw 4 deer in about an hour including a nice 8 point, so hopefully i will get a chance at him. i also stopped in the bear check station. not to many big bear taken yet. biggest one was in the 280 lb range. Most were averaging 90-140 lb.

I never have just because you don't need them in close, other than a mahhh to stop one nearby for a shot.
