Welcome aboard norsemen - While we all know the fishing is great where you are, not alot of people outside NY are aware of the great Deer hunting in Western NY.

Hope you have access to some good private land there - I hear the huntable area around Buffalo is TOP NOTCH.

BOWHUNTERCOP - Elmira is closer to me (60 miles SW). The area south of Elmira is Oak Ridges - 80% 1-1/2 year old bucks and a few good ones - lots of deer. North of Elmira is Fingerlake country - and more agricultural - and almost all private land - lots of deer here too - Better Bucks than south - P&Y is a better bet here - but permissions are hard to come by.

Yes wecome to the boards. I myself am going back HOME to western NY next month for good. I cannot wait to take advantage of my family property. The bucks are top class here.
I am going to the www.northcountrywhitetails.com facility on their tour. Biologic has their NE test center their as well.
Hope the upcoming season is well to us all.

BTW FH I have seen multiple pictures of your plots, and Im jealous.
