Default First Walk of Spring

Took the first walk of spring around the fields/woods behind our house today....Not much spotted, just one gray squirrel, but there was alot of deer sign. Just wondering, what should I be looking for this early in the spring?? What do YOU GUYS look for when rambling through the trees this season, other than Gobblers

if im not looking for turkey then im looking for deer sign , i like to try to figure out what is bringing the deer to this area this time of year? is it food, water , bed, ext. this helps me pattern the deer and understand why they are in certian area,s at certian times of the year.
