Who is this Boop PGC

Welcome back BB
If I recall Boops words correctly, his proposal was worded quite reasonably. He wants to see the management plan for these public properties before any more DMAPs are considered.
Sounds reasonable to me.
Devlins response was arrogant and out of line. Just as we shouldn't expect that ground to be managed JUST for deer, DCNR should be able to have a plan that justifies additional tags for that same ground.
All the more reason we need to keep further DCNR influence out of the PGC.

IMHO Boop's proposal was triggered by DCNR requesting DMAP tags for wild areas where they had no intention of timbering. It will be interesting to see what criteria the PGC will use to make decisions on future DMAP requests by DCNR. It seems that DCNR already has enough data to justify reducing the herd in ares they plan to cut just based on the browsing data and the impact of competing vegetation.I will be surprised if the PGC requires DCNR to provide food plots or any other improvement that would increase the carrying capacity.

I think whats even more important here is the obvious rift that has opened between DCNR and the BOC.
If as we all suspect, DCNR has had undue influence in the past, this situation develpoing appears to bode well for hunter interests.

It may blow over but Devlins response was a fairly nasty one. It could just as easliy be like the first leak sprung in a dam thats already full. It could seal itself or blow wide open.
Time will tell.

If dmap is effected and allocations are cut....yets, i could see a rift. And i dont think thats a bad thing. Dcnr has had their hand....check that.....their ARM in the pot up to the shoulder for far too long imo.
