I agree. The funny thing is ,even the buck I got in 5C where there is an unlimited food supply had little if any fat. On the other hand , the doe we butchered last year had gobs of fat and looked like she had been fed in a food lot for cattle.

I've always seen less fat on bucks than doe towards the end of November.That's nothing new.

I agree , but Glew 22 thinks it is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Its like a lot of variable in the areas and age of the deer we shoot, I have shot fat ones and thin ones, can't say I've ever seen a patten its always been get the hide off and take a look.
A near by corn field or apple orchard would get my nod when it comes to making a difference.

I find it hard to believe you have no idea what I was referring to, since you are the one that tried to claim the stress of breeding was a problem that we need to address. The amount of fat on bucks that are harvested is the best indicator of the amount of stress buck are subjected to during the rut. Do you agree or disagree?
