Thing of it is BTB, that the rants, tirades and statiscal flim-flams completely match what we are experiencing up here. You see where we're coming from? BB, while at HPA, predicted the outcome of what we are seeing now for many years. I dismissed his allegations. Turns out he hit the nail on the head.

Im gonna give some of this crap its due consideration and address it appropriately:

LIE #1 Based on nothing other than your eagerness to hurl barbs.

LIE #2 Based on nothing. Ive personally seen far more while driving in YOUR wmu, but wouldnt say its the highest of any Ive been in since I havent kept a log of such, nor do i believe have you.

Only reason you mentioned the "liar routine" is because you were more than aware you were about to tell some. Not sure what it is you expect someone to say when you intentionally say something you know isnt true.

Now on to the rational part of the post. Keep it "real" and Id be more than happy to reply appropriately.

Im not the least bit interested in doing the same. (going to illinois)If i were, i would. But Im not currently. I do it from time to time, but i actually HATE to travel. I also have NO interest in guided hunts or hunting under certain conditions. Its honestly not my thing. I only pointed that out about you going to Illinois for obvious reasons in regards to your stance on Pa, and it sure as hell wasnt out of jealousy.

WHich is only as it should be, although its often not enough. Also, while thats a stance which is only common sense, your stance on other measures above and beyond that base minimum one arent exactly congruent with whats best for hunting in this state.

Just one quick unscientific example. Coming back from Illinois this year between the Ohio line and Washington PA on 70 my buddy and I counted 12 roadkills (thats 2A by the way) we split there and he saw 8 more going down 79 toward Morgantown(2A) . I saw 5 more heading up 70 to new Stanton (2A 2B border) and one on the 66 extension (2B 2C border)

Very unscientific. You are speaking of one trip. ONE TRIP. lmao. Ive been up that way several times in the last several months and have seen double the roadkill in unit 2b. Easily. We have our share. Then theres a lot of traffic on some the the highways. Whatcha gonna do kill em all so theres none? lmao. I believe the article in Pa outdoor news pretty much summed up the situation with roadkill. Even a spokesman from pgc said it was just as much a product of our number of roads & populations as anything where our ranking overall nationwide is concerned. That could be broken down to a smaller scale & would finger your unit as a high roadkill unit. Our extreme northern portion (the one nearest your wmu) wouldnt be a long ways off id imagine. Though it represents a tiny portion of the wmu and could be pointed to for different borders and argument for smaller wmus.

Im not suggesting anything. Im well aware of the "tall tines" outfit which you have been more than forthright about. I need no explanations. And as for my position I explained myself clearly enough. You spoke of others hunting the area if those so choose. If they were to itd most likely be a guided hunt. Thats how things usually work for nonres. in midwest. And...as i said, just not for me. No further explanation necessary.

I know you've probably said it before but where exactly do you hunt these days. If I recall correctly you're in 3C or 2G right?

Do you hunt private or public ground? What stage is most of the timber in in your area?

I haven't read any of the previous posts so I'm answering what I think the original poster was talking about. I hunt mostly private owned property (mine) that is open to the public. The first day I saw 5 doe and 1 illegal buck. (I'm in a 4 point area). The first Saturday I had 3 doe come through at 7:20 and I took the largest one. The last Saturday was the best with 11 Deg. weather and a dusting of snow. I took a beautiful 18" 9pt. at 7:05 A.M. that was with 5 other deer. If I had any complaint concerning anything the PGC has done it is the 4 pt. restriction in selective areas instead of making a straight 3 pt. requirement state wide. Other than that I just find that I need to hunt harder and smarter to have deer around me. During archery I had 10 different buck in to my ground blinds and only one was legal with 3 seperate 6 points I had to just watch.
