Went out for the first time on (the second) Saturday. Had a nice 8 point under my tree at 8:30 AM. Spread was almost as wide as his ears, real yellow antlers, G2's were about 6 or 7 inches. I picked up the bow and thought about taking him because he startled me and I got excited. I passed on him but it would have been a difficult shot anyway as he came from behind and stood at the base of my tree and then left behind me. He was a nice 2.5 year old specimen. He was the only deer I saw that day in the high density WMU 2B.

That is just pure nonsense. Everyone is free to hunt wherever they choose to hunt, but by expressing their preference as to where to hunt ,they re also expressing their opinion of the quality of deer management in the state they prefer to hunt and BTB choose Ill. over pA even though he claims hunting in PA is better than ever.
Can you spell hypocrite?

So what? The fact that there are fanatstic places to hunt outside of PA doesnt mean that it isnt good here. You've posted some pretty silly things but this is one of your best.
My position is not nearly as silly as your claiming to know that I don't enjoy hunting in PA,even know you had no possible way to know how much I enjoy our hunts. And, it wasn't nearly as silly as your claim that 80% of the deer that die in 2 G die of natural causes.
You spent the time and money to drive across two states to hunt an area that you couldn't possibly have scouted as much as your areas in PA,so IMHO it is clear that you prefer Ill. to hunting in PA.
BTW, the thread was about the first day in PA, not the first day in Ill.

I would hunt other states in a heartbeat if I could. Has no bearing on my opinion of PA hunting. Even though a Tom cat has everything he needs, he still yearns to roam and see what is on the other side. I'm sure that Bob has a tradition of going out there with friends for a yearly hunt, or something of that fashion. Then he comes home for some great times in Penn's Woods. If he was unhappy with PA, why would he buy a license here?

That makes sense though, because I don't even bother going out the first day in most cases. If I had the opportunity to hunt Illinois, I would schedule it for the first week of PA archery as well. The first two weeks of Pa archery are tough for deer movement, even in high density areas. I don't usually get fired up until the third week. The leaves changing and dropping, cooler nights, approaching rut make a marked change in deer and this is what I crave...that electric atmosphere that cannot be explained in simple words. The first week is like summer deer hunting, which I have no interest in.

Maybe he KNOWS you are?

You're right. The fact its as bad as any state in the nation here is what means it isnt good here.
"You've posted some pretty silly things but this is one of your best."
Such a credible assessment from such a credible source.
"And once agasin, The fact that I went to Illinois for a weekend to hunt there doesnt give you and cornhole the right to disrupt what was a friendly, positive thread for the rest of us. "
You involved in a positive friendly thread? lmfao. Good one. How many lies is that now? Ive lost track. You want positive and friendly? Try posting in that manner instead of lying and hurling insults on every thread when someone posts fact which you dont like. You reap what you sow.
