This is my personal opinion. Those who are disabled do not have the same opportunities or capabilities as the rest of us. Their ability to use a xbow gave them the ability to hunt with the rest of the archers because of it's "advantages" over a compound or any other vertical bow. Today's youth (as a whole) are the laziest yet, my 12 year old step son is testament to that. I feel allowing these xbows cheapens the tradition and experience of the sport or style of hunting the majority of us enjoy. Alot of youth and new archers will opt out for the easier method of becoming proficient with a xbow rather than the vertical bow. Other states allowing xbows also allow hunters to shoot their own deer (not mentored youth) at much younger ages so they start out with what? the Xbow. And Why? Because it is easier. Hopefully the majority of these youth will come to seek the more difficult challenges that hunting with a vertical bow offers and they gain a sense of tradition and pride in the hard work that it takes to become proficient with a vertical bow. If not they are missing out and I feel they are cheating themselves out of that satisfaction and feeling of achievment of taking a deer wih a bow
I don't see much difference between allowing able bodied men to use this weapon any different than petitioning for the right to park in handicapped spaces- after all if they are really crippled they can always use a wheelchair thus you would actually have to walk further than they would so why not extend you this convenience as well and since they aren't walking anyway you wouldn't be taking anything from them, Right?

There is a rumor going round that the Game commission is going to designate Special Xbow permissible areas after the current first 2 week ruling. Look for signs like these to distinguish these areas from the rest of the SGL's.:woot:

First lmao
I Agree most younger kids today are lazy . But xbows being allowed for anyone doesnt hurt disable people.
If a store only has 2 handicap stalls and no regular. do you gotta poop in the urinal so the handicap have a advantage.

Fair enough. I understand you love the xbow and maybe I am being unfair, definitely a little harsh. I won't use one but I hope you have success with this weapon now that it has been included into the archery season. Good Luck!
