And compounds & in-lines as well.

....Yeah...and rifles, shotguns pistols and recurves too I suppose.

I was a bit harsh in my statement about xguns. They did have an appropriate place. Until greed snatched the usage and permitted able bodies hunters to use them side by side with the handicapped.[:'(]

My point is that archery and flintlock seasons were intended to be primitive weapon seasons. Now compound bows and in-lines are ok for some hunters while they criticize cross-bows.

I agree completely about the inlines. They are fine in rifle season. Not in flint. The difference between an inline and flinter is similar to the differences between bows and crossrifles.;)

But compounds are ok?

IMHO the only change that will matter is a change in the priorities and attitude of the BOC. As long as they insist on putting the interests of DCNR,the timber industry and the Audubon above the concerns of the hunters, none of the changes suggested so far will improve hunting for the average PA hunter.

Yep. Thats where I draw the line. They are twice the challenge of crossguns and you dont have the "type" user associated with it.

But judging by the response pgc got on the issue, most didnt want crossbows. They were shoved down our throats anyway. And no, I didnt see compounds ever being of the same magnitude of dissent.;) Like a couple of the boc who voted no said.... I see no upside. Just pizzing off hunters.

RSB, I see you observing... Question for ya bud. WHY on earth are you trying to BUFFALO people over on hpa? In the ar/hr forum you state that pgc might go to smaller wmus if hunters would only PUSH FOR A LICENSE INCREASE so that they could....

Now you know that is nothing but a crock of....****! (LOL) Rosenberry has made it more than clear up to this point hes NOT interested in doing so. MONEY OR NO MONEY!!!

Tell you what.Let that joker change his tune, have a press release announcing the intentions of doing so in a manner that would permit county or smaller wmus if and when those funds are granted, and I'll be the first s.o.b to contact legislators to support a reasonable fee increase...

However you know as well as I thats wishful thinking. So please quit lying. Its a great disservice to the sportsmen of our state for you to tell them to support money for something they have zero chance of getting.[:'(] If you are willing to go to any lengths to get money for your employers, maybe you can stand in front of the local walmart with a collection can. At least it would be an honest way to go about it.;) Just dont let them know its for pgc, as youd probably only get monopoly money and chewing gum papers.
